PDI (Pellet Durability Index)

The NHP100 operates by loading a manual weighed sample of pellets into the test chamber which cascades them in an air stream causing the pellets to collide with each other and the perforated hard surfaces of the test chamber. After the test cycle the pellets are manually removed and weighed to obtain a ‘Pellet Durability Index’ (PDI).

The machine is ideally suited to laboratory type environments. It provides the possibility for a manufacturer of pellets to test them under different conditions i.e. recipe, age and temperature to provide accurate results and refine pellet production to suit their customers parameters. The NHP200 is fully automatic and will provide a PDI result without user intervention. With a reduction in labour input the possibility of human error is eliminated.

Process Control Pellet Tester

PDI (Pellet Durability Index - NHP300 In-Line Pellet Durability Tester is designed to automatically provide test results of pellet samples directly from a transfer duct within the Pellet Mill)

The NHP300 is a modular system and can be designed and installed to the customers requirements and application. A maximum of four pellet lines can be tested by one NHP300 with the option to return samples back to their original lines.

Inline sampling IL 50

The IL50 Pneumatic Inline Sampler is used to take spot samples of granular products from the transfer duct. It can be combined with the CB05 Control Unit which allows programmable control of the sampler using a timer function and also has a manual sample function. For use with Grain and other free flowing products.

Inline sampling IL 55

The IL55 Inline Sampler is used to take spot samples of product from the transfer duct. It operates from a 24V DC supply. It can be combined with the CB05 Control Unit which allows programmable control of the sampler using a PLC timer function. For use with static and free flowing products.

Processes up to 5kg of sample and is ideally situated to assessing samples at the laboratory. Extensive testing has confirmed that a single insect in a 5kg sample will be identified and extracted.

Reciprocating sieve shaker to extract insects

Insects identification and extraction

Processes up to 10kg of sample in less than 2 minutes, and is ideally suited to assessing samples at intake. Extensive testing has confirmed that a single insect in a 10kg sample will be extracted. This equates to detecting insects at densities of 0.1 insects / kg.
